Children enjoy receiving MAIL AT CAMP and we encourage you to write to:
LWBC - Attn: [Your Child’s Name],
34319 Living Word Trl,
Grand Rapids, MN 55744.
To ensure letters arrive during camp, you may need to mail it before your child leaves home. Do not mail packages that won’t fit in a mailbox. We will not be able to return mail that arrives after your child has left camp.
Emails can be sent to: registration@lwbcmn.org, please put “For [your child’s name]” in the subject line. Phones are for emergency use, do not expect to call your child during camp.
Clothing: Activities include life-guarded swimming, paddle-boarding, canoeing/kayaking, and fishing. Please use care in choosing your child’s wardrobe for camp. Our goal is neatness and modesty. Especially for physically mature campers, we ask that you not bring sloppy, low slung (underwear revealing), tight-fitting, or low-cut clothing. No bikinis or bare tummy swimsuits for girls, or Speedo-type suits for guys. Don’t ask “What’s wrong with this?” Instead, ask “What can I wear that would set a good example and be honoring to Christ?”
Photo & Video: A short video will be available, free of charge, to all campers for viewing online. Your child will receive a group photo and bunk photo on the last day of camp. We are grateful for those who donate their time and resources to make this happen each week. Thank you!
Why don’t you want my child to bring a cell phone, etc? Camp was designed to be a “retreat” experience, where the distractions of the world are taken away. Where children and staff members can focus on important spiritual issues in their life. Rather than choosing to ignore our policy on this, please re-evaluate whether or not to send your child to camp.
Pests Please check your children for head lice, lice eggs, etc. before sending them to camp. And check them for deer-ticks once they return home from camp.
We have a lot of fun at camp and are excited to spend time with your awesome kids!
